By
popular request, gift vouchers can now be purchased online. Vouchers
are available in units of £5 or £10 or a value you choose
in whole pounds. They make ideal gifts for the serious musician
as they can be used as payment (or part-payment) towards music purchases
from the hound.
What
do I get?
The
voucher comprises a unique reference code sent by email (as part
of an image file or in plain text if you prefer) once payment has
been cleared.
You
can then email the voucher to your friend or print it and give it
to them.
How
does it work?
1.
Buying vouchers
Search the hound site using the title: "Gift".
We have £5 and £10 vouchers listed, alternatively you
can select "other value" vouchers. For £5 and £10
units, the quantity you enter is the number of vouchers you would
like. However, for "other value" vouchers, enter the voucher
value you would like as the quantity (complete £s only) -
we will prepare one voucher to this value for you.
When
we receive your order, we will prepare the voucher(s) you require
and email them to you.
2.
Using vouchers
The
code is keyed at the payment stage of an order. Normally this is
treated as a part payment, so the total payable by your payment
card or credit card will be reduced by the face value of the voucher.
If
the cost of your order is less than the voucher's face value, we
will issue new vouchers to you for the unspent £s when we
despatch your order. Of course, if you order anything else in the
meantime, you can let us know when you order and we'll apply the
unspent balance to this new order.
3.
What if I have any other questions?
Just email the hound
and we'll do our best to answer the questions or sort out the difficulties
for you.
Limitations
There
are very few. We reserve the right to withhold supply of gift vouchers
to customers in certain territories (in accordance with paragraph
2 of our terms of business and where legislative restrictions apply).
We also reserve the right to cancel vouchers in the unlikely event
of non-payment.
Each
voucher has a cash value of 0.01p, but will allow the user to pay
for purchases in full or in part to the indicated value, provided
that any further balance is paid by normal methods.
Each
voucher may only been redeemed once. Redemption is normally by entering
the unique reference code into the payments screen of the web site
either within the box entitled 'hound vouchers' or 'special messages'.
Although the latter will not register as a deduction from your payment
on screen, we will deduct the amount when we process the order.
In
the event of the total order value being less than the voucher value,
unspent amounts (in complete units of £1) will be refunded
by means of a new voucher which can be used for subsequent purchase(s).
